LG Optimus F7 – A Dual Core Version of the LG Optimus G

A few months ago, LG announced that it should be releasing the LG Optimus F7 sometime after June 2013. The Optimus F7 will be a less powerful version of the LG Optimus G and it is expected to compete with other mid-range smartphones. As a matter of fact, it will have a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.

The screen size will be 4.7 inches; it will have a high density resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch. The Optimus F7 will have 8 GB of internal memory, which could be expanded by means of a microSD card of up to 32 GB in size. The size of the mini-phablet will be 131.7 x 68.2 x 9.6 mm or 5.19 x 2.69 x 0.38 inches. The battery size will be 2,540mAh.

The 8 megapixel main camera will support resolutions of up to 3264 x 2448 pixels while the front facing camera will take photos of up to 1.3 megapixels in size. The F7 will have a compass as well as an accelerometer and proximity sensor. The operating system it will run when released will be Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. No official pricing details are available; however it is expected to sell at about $550, which is equivalent to €426 or £362.
