Micromax A120 Canvas HD Pro – the New 5.5 Inch Phablet from Micromax

According to recent rumours, the Indian company Micromax is currently working on a new phablet by the name of Micromax A120 Canvas HD Pro. This phablet is expected to come with a 5.5 inch full-HD screen supporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

If the rumours are true, the A120 will have a 2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor, MediaTek MT6589 chipset, a PowerVR Series 5XT Graphics Processing Unit and 2 GB of RAM. Micromax’s new phablet is to have 8 GB of storage which can be expanded by means of a microSD card of up to 64 GB. An accelerometer sensor, a motion sensor and a G Sensor should also be included. FM radio should also be included, a feature that is not available in the Samsung Galaxy S4 and some other flagship devices. Another nice feature will be the dual-SIM card capability.

The A120 is expected to have a 13 MP rear camera supporting 4128 x 3096 pixels, a 3.2 MP front camera supporting 2048 x 1536 pixels and is expected to support dual LED flash. Inside the phablet, one is expected to find a 3000 mAh battery. The Micromax A120 Canvas HD Pro will run on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and is expected to be released sometime in June. The price tag on the A120 should be around 20,000 Indian Rupees which is about US $365, €280 or £233.
